Jude Garrison is an American Author who lives in Dothan, Alabama. She jokingly refers to her hometown as LA (Lower Alabama, for those not in the know). “But I’m allergic to Alabama,” she frequently says. Dothan is the peanut capital of the south and is famous for its annual Peanut Festival.
Dothan has not always been home to Jude. She has lived there since 2005, after Hurricane Katrina ran her off from her beloved Mississippi Gulf Coast, and she wistfully vows to return someday. In the meantime, sneezing aside, she has come to love a lot of what Dothan has to offer. Especially her husband. They both enjoy photographing the wonders of nature and spend as much time as possible in the abundance of parks and nature preserves around the area. The background for the header picture on this website is one of many they have taken. This one is a shot of a beautiful sunset seen in the western sky over their home.
Jude is actually a Southey by birth. The youngest of four siblings, she grew up on a dairy farm in North Mississippi. Mother to three grown sons, she now devotes much of her time to writing.
